Candida is a disease that causes a fungal overgrowth or the overgrowth of yeast in the body. The diagnosis of this condition is extremely difficult as the symptoms are largely invisible. Those suffering from the condition are most often than not left wondering what is wrong with them. The loved ones of those affected by this condition are also unable to provide comfort to the patients, as they are not aware enough to understand their situation.
The symptoms of this disease are extremely similar to those of fibromyalgia. Fatigue, short-term memory, un-refreshing sleep, crawling skin are also common to patients of fibromyalgia. In addition, emotional and mental symptoms such as those of depression, paranoia and anxiety, also haunt patients of both candida and fibromyalgia.
Patients with Candida though, suffer from several other symptoms too. White or red blisters, extreme tightness around the shoulders, sore throat, hyper acidity, brown colored mucus at the back of the throat, chronic dental problems, dark circles under the eyes, panic attacks, obsessive ness and personality and mood changes are just some of the symptoms that most people with fibromyalgia do not face but almost all people with Candida do.
The other symptoms that a person suffering from Candida may experience are low sex drive, menstrual problems, anemia, light-headedness, fainting, and chronic athlete$%:s foot, dandruff, recurrent ear infections, eczema, and acne, shortness of breath, irritable bowel, irregular heartbeat and difficulty swallowing.
These symptoms may sound almost impossible for belonging to just one illness. This is probably the reason why a number of doctors diagnose patients suffering from Candida with Fibromyalgia, and those suffering from Fibromyalgia with Candida.
A number of people thus suffer from faulty treatment too on top of suffering from such deadly diseases. The only probable solution to such problems is to work on creating awareness about these diseases. The patients who have past experiences of dealing with such problems should take up the challenge and spread awareness so that other people do not suffer from the same fate as theirs.
